![]() On the last 3 days had the pleasure of the building contractors delivering at 6am (Appreciate this was out of hotels control) just added to the experience. If you like early mornings on your holiday you could always rely on the maids cleaning the corridors at 7am and if you managed to go back to sleep then the bathroom vent kicked in at 8am. The staff in general were very pleasant and felt sorry for most of them having to deliver in the conditions provided. The room was very small and dated,, and the bath/shower was a challenge, the mixer tap had a mind of its own and the shower head was fixed with only around a 6" reach from the wall, the challenge was to have a really hot or cold shower and run around in the confined space enough to ensure you got clean. As for the pools, outside very small in a courtyard which lost sun cover by around 1pm and the inside one very small again, decided to go to the beach for my swim most days. Was fully inclusive, but had a lunch out every day and towards the end of the holiday, also had my breakfast and evening meals out as well. New I was in trouble when we got pork on the first evening, then sliced pork for breakfast followed by pork in breadcrumbs the next evening. ![]() A rotation of strangely tasting scrambled egg, with pork, bacon (or should I say fat with some bacon) and the cheapest sausages available (Gave these a miss) Oh and nearly forgot poached eggs, I brought one home to try out on the golf course. Food not great, breakfast generally chaotic, plates etc in the middle of the buffet style service, causing guests to crisscross around the very cramped area. I did have options to pick a cheaper holiday and paid a fair price (Checked with other holiday makers on my visit to Malta) but was expecting a decent package, hotel food, swimming pool and gym. Booked the holiday on the premise of the 4 star rating and most of the reviews giving a good or fairly good report.
